Nikon D4. Nikon have launched their new flagship camera the D4. I was impressed until I read the spec sheet.
The new expeed graphics engine gives the camera a greater ISO rating 100-12800 expandable to 204,800 Though How it is expanded is not stated. But, the image size of 16.2 million pixels is not enough. The D3x is 24 million. So this, to me, is a retrograde step. That and the cost £4799 body only means I'll wait for the D4x.
In the mean time I'll get the Nikon D800. 36.3 mega pixels, FX sensor (same as the D4) ISO 100 - 6400 extendable (?) to 25,600. All for £2399 Add to this the battery grip £400 and you have a better camera for £2000 less.
